Mr. Robert Defayette

I began in 1976 when I studied Taekwondo with grand master Hong, in
London Ontario, Canada. I continued under him for about fifteen years
reaching a third degree level. I then moved to Florida in 1990. I
began looking at several forms of martial arts, and found CKD through
Steve and Shelly Elrod. They had just purchased and began training in
CKD and invited me into the CKD family. I was a little skeptical at
first, being I had so many years of experience in the art of
Taekwondo. I was sold on the art of CKD in the first class i took
because it was very easy to transition into from Taekwondo. CKD was by
far a more practical and realistic art to study. In late 2004 tragedy
struck my family. I was hospitalized for four months due having nine
stokes. I was unable to walk, talk and I could hardly write my name.
Miraculously I recovered to 80%. Doctors tribute my speedy recovery to
my healthy condition. I began training in CKD again one year after the
strokes. Do to CKD being bilate
ral movements it has triggered my brain to recall all the things I
thought were lost. This brings us to where I am at today. I am now an
owner of a CKD academy in Largo, Florida. I feel thanks to CKD for
getting me where I am today. Thank you.
